When Jennifer Miller agreed to do research for the Spanish Count
Antonio de Ortega de Andrade y de Valdés, she did not expect to be
working with such a young, virile and handsome man. Neither did she
expect he would ask her to agree to a pretend-engagement, intended
to keep predatory women off the Conde’s back while he and Jennifer
worked on his book.
Conde Antonio has had his share of women throwing themselves avidly
at his feet, but they only bore him. When he hired as his researcher
a quiet, unassuming young Canadian woman of flawless professional
reputation, he never expected to be attracted to her.

“This is
a very good romantic tale with a bit of the feel of the better Harlequin
romances about it. The characters are very well written and so vivid
that I could picture and hear them with no problem. Tony and Jennifer’s
relationship is very romantic and everyone but the two of them realize
that they are deeply in love...”

“Castle
in Spain is a classic will they –won’t they, does he love her – does she
love him story. It’s traditional romance where two people love each
other but are too unsure of the other’s emotions to give in totally to
what they are feeling. I liked all the characters...”
Janet
Davies's entire review at Once Upon A Romance's Reviews
A Cinderella story, CASTLE IN SPAIN, is a
charming tale of a commoner and a distinguished Spanish gentleman moving
toward friendship, and then something stronger. The handsome and
wealthy Antonio is overwhelmed with women anxious for marriage, and
although he has had many affairs, none has touched his heart until he
meets Jennifer. An intelligent, good-hearted woman, Jennifer has
overwhelming feelings for the conde. She is strong but knows she will
be heartbroken when she leaves. Their romance is steamy and sizzles
with their desire for each other. Will Antonio let her go?
The secondary characters complement the story: Antonio’s housekeeper,
who is so rude; his mother who, at first, makes no bones about her
disappointment in Antonio’s choice in a wife; and Jennifer’s father, who
lovingly supports her decisions. CASTLE IN SPAIN is a hot romance with
good pacing, interesting characters, and a story that will meet readers’
expectations.
