Reviews:
Love Fang is a thoroughly amusing tale. First of
all, the premise of a vampire with dental pain is definitely
interesting. The interaction between John and Lauren is fantastic. I
love the light, easy-going feeling of this story as well as the intense
emotions between the characters. John’s assistant, Doreen, and Lauren’s
assistant, Rosetta, are fantastic as they try to play matchmakers. After
this delightful novel, I am looking forward to reading more from Ms.
Blexrud in the future.

Coffee Time Romance
Love Fang by Susan Blexrud is your typical old
school vampire love story. John sleeps in a coffin, has no reflection,
turns into a bat and wears a cape. I enjoyed the openness of John being
a vampire. In the beginning, Lauren’s dental assistant, Rosetta,
realizes he is a vampire and is scared. Eventually she does over come
this and her and John’s assistant, Doreen, work together to try to get
the two reluctant lovers together. Lauren has a very big decision to
make. She becomes a vampire and spends eternity with John--which doesn’t
sound so bad--or she chooses to find a human to love, which is more
difficult but she stays human. I felt for Lauren and the big decision
she had to make. It was very hard on her and I liked the fact that the
novella dealt with her decision making more in depth than some I’ve
read. Overall, the story flowed smoothly from start to finish and kept
me turning the pages to discover which path Lauren would take. I also
enjoyed the humor that Lauren added to the story. Her chihuahua had me
cracking up just about every time he appeared in the story. Bravo Ms.
Blexrud!

Vampire John Wright has a slight problem - he has an infected fang and
he must see the dentist. He is less than enthusiastic to make an
appointment, but his assistant, Doreen, insists that he go.
Dr. Lauren Marsh is instantly taken with John, and can easily overlook
the fangs in his mouth, though her dental assistant, Rosetta, sees him
for what he is - a vampire. Lauren takes care of the abscessed tooth and
says yes to John’s invitation to go out for dinner.
When Lauren learns the truth about John’s true nature she must make a
decision; stick with her safe, predictable life, or take a chance on
true love, and the one man that makes her knees go weak with desire.
Who can resist this first line? “John Wright’s infected left fang put a
real damper on his puncturing prowess.” I gave Love Fang 4 1/2
tombstones because of the humor that was effortlessly mixed in with
intense drama. The secondary characters are hilarious, and the sexual
tension between John and Lauren is intoxicating. I’m already salivating
for the sequel, Fang Shui.

Love Fang was such a wonderful read...what a great
sense of humor Susan Blexrud has. The hero of the story (a vamp) having
dental problems..LOL. This is a really great read.
I recommend Love Fang for a paranormal romance read that will also have
you laughing.

John Wright, a devastatingly handsome vampire, is wracked with pain. One
of his fangs is infected and it hurts like the dickens! His housekeeper,
Doreen, contacts a dentist for him. Luck is on her side when she finds
one that is open in the evening. He jokes that she had better not be a
brunette with green eyes, but Doreen insists. Does John’s keen vampire
sense suspect something?
Dr. Lauren Marsh, a gorgeous, compassionate woman, receives an emergency
phone call to examine a man’s tooth. She is taken aback when her
hormone’s leap to life at the sight of him in her office the following
night. She rationalizes to herself that her life is way overdue for male
companionship. Her dog, Smokey, provides company but heck, she needs
some male bonding in her life. Her assistant, Rosetta, is wary of him
when they first meet. She suspects something is amiss and wonders what’s
up.
When John gets a whiff of Lauren’s scent, he realizes he is in trouble.
Instantaneous reactions course through his body. He has to have his
tooth taken care of but why does she have to be so beautiful and smell
so good? He asks her out on a dinner date, and Lauren accepts without
hesitation. What does the future hold for the couple who have enough
sexual chemistry to light up Orlando, Florida?
Susan Blexrud’s story, LOVE FANG, is an amusing, gritty, fast-paced
romantic tale of a vampire who falls for a lady dentist. John can’t
stand the pain anymore in his infected fang so he has his brassy
housekeeper, Doreen, find a dentist with evening hours. She is his
all-around housekeeper with attitude to boot! When the pretty dentist
works on his tooth, the close proximity of their bodies start their
libidos dancing and more! It was fun to see how Lauren’s assistant,
Rosetta and Doreen connive to get John and Lauren together! I loved
Lauren’s little dog, Smokey. With his cute personality, he almost steals
the show! Ms. Blexrud creates smart, amusing characters that bristle
with believable sexual electricity. LOVE FANG is a wickedly delicious
vampire tale that should not be missed!

Can an ordinary dentist really deal with an
absessed fang in an ultra sexy vampire? Apparently so, but she probably
can't do it without getting involved. The vampire is John Wright, and
the dentist is Dr. Lauren Marsh. By the time the dental problems are
solved, the pair is well on their way to immortal romance.
This was a cute story, with well developed characters, who were
geniunely likeable. Doreen, John's personal assistant, and Rosetta,
Doreen's dental hygenist, were an unlikely pair of cupids. If only there
were a dentist with night hours, which, of course, our heroine is. And a
night person at that, who wishes that she could see all of her patients
after dark. Any reader who has to get up way too early for the day shift
will sympathize.
The vampire was a little bit light as vampires go, a really nice guy who
has been burned by love in the past. But that didn't make the story any
less enjoyable. I could easily imagine both he and Lauren, years down
the line, as a happily married couple with tiny immortal children. If,
of course, she decided to join him in his night life,. And that's the
question waiting to be answered in Susan Blexrud's Love Fang, which I
understand may have a full length sequel. I plan to read that as well,
and hope it is as much fun as this shorter taste.

Love Fang could almost be classified as a sweet romance except for the
torrid love scenes.
Vampire John Wright has been around since the time of England's King
Henry VIII. Now he resides in Florida. To keep his daytime life running
smoothly while he sleeps, he has the able help of a brash, heart of
gold, mortal assistant named Doreen.
Sadly even immortal vampires have problems. John has an immediate need
for a dentist. His impacted fang hurts like heck. Fortunately Doreen
finds a dentist with evening hours. The lovely Dr Lauren Marsh takes
care of what she believes to be an unusually long canine by pulling it
out. Not exactly the result John had hoped for, but with today's
technology the "tooth" could easily be replaced.
When these two genuinely nice people meet they immediately know they
were meant for each other. But the course of true love never runs
smoothly. There are hurdles to overcome, which I won't tell you about.
That would be spoiling the fun of reading this delightful story told
with grace and wit.
