This historical romance from Jennifer Mueller allows us to experience those most deep and deadly of needs shared between lovers who cannot love, but must! The rich scenery presented in this book make the reading an almost time travel experience as your taken back, experiencing the stage in the way only an accomplished artist can render it.

Jennifer gives us characters to connect to here, as alive on the page as they could be, and we get a story and thankfully not just a "because they were there" romance, but a passionate, steamy affair full of intrigue and excitement that'll take you from first page to last.

This was a lovely story. Ms. Mueller pens a nice tale about two people who appear to be from different worlds, but who are not so different after all. The reconstitution of the world of old Constantinople is worth noting and applauding.
