Adra Steia
According to myth,
Adrasteia is "She whom none can escape", the goddess of
retribution. Properly an epithet of Rhea Cybele in her attribute
of the Mother who punishes human injustice, which is a
transgression of the natural right order of things. The Greeks
and Romans identified her with Nemesis.
Of course, I'm not a Greek goddess nor do I
claim to be any sort of divine vigilante. The name resounds to
me. It's perfect for the type of stories I write. I write
stories of horror and loss, but justice is always paramount.
I live a rather dull life in a tiny isolated
house right next to a swamp. An old cemetery, long abandoned by
the long-dead church goers that fill it, borders my home to the
left, and the swamp is on the right. Out of sight, a quarter of
a mile down a rutted dirt driveway, is the rarely-traveled
country road that seldom brings visitors my way. I love where I
live. I just hope there's never an emergency and I need help
fast. ;-)
I'm
not much of a pet person, although there is a massive old gator
who visits my plastic flamingos on warm days. I spend most of my
day writing or working on my graphic design courses.

Jannine Corti Petska
I've been writing romances since
the early 80s when I was a stay-at-home mom to three daughters. It
wasn't until the mid-90s that I became serious about the business of
writing. I sold my first book, The Lily and the Falcon, to
Kensington in 1999.
Other books I've published are
Foreign Exchange, a romantic suspense set in Italy and the U.S. in
1970. It covered everything from a soccer-playing hero to the mafia,
a CIA heroine, the FBI, Red Brigades Terrorists, and so much more. And
in 2006 Rebel Heart, a historical western romance, was released. It was
a 2007 Aspen Gold Finalist.
I am partial to writing medieval
romances set in Italy. I was born and raised Italian and know the
culture well. The Lily and the Falcon was the first book of a
four-book series set in 15th century Italy, which I hope will find a
home soon.
I am currently a member of the San
Diego Chapter of the Romance Writer's of America, RWA National, and PAN
(Published Authors Network), along with many other online writing
chapters.
My house is always full of
laughter, especially when my grandchildren visit. I live in Southern
California with my husband (my very own knight in shining armor) and
three Rat Terriers. Although my husband is Czech, we are both active in
the Order Sons of Italy in America . They have made him an honorary
Italian.

Annie
Marshall
I've been writing short stories since
Jr. High and instead of passing notes to my girlfriends, I’d share the stories
with them. All of which I seriously hope have been shredded, mangled, or burned
beyond recognition! (The short stories, not my girlfriends!!!! Gezzzzzz LOL I
write romance, not horror!) Then at age twenty, I read “A Knight In Shining
Armor” by Jude Deveraux. I was hooked and to this day it still remains one of
my favorite novels!
I’ve had the pleasure of touring Hawaii, Austria, France, Italy,
and lived in Germany for two years. During my time In
Europe, I was able to visit several castles and fell in love
with the medieval time period and have been fantasizing and
writing about them ever since.
My family history is Scottish, Irish,
Welsh, and Spanish. My husband's is Irish, Scottish, and English. We celebrate
our different heritages and are teaching our children the wonders and joys of
being Celtic! After spending eight years in the
United States Army, I met my Knight in Shining Armor, face to face, on the
battlefield of a medieval re-enactment with a sword and shield in my hands and a
claymore in his. Then I married that man in a twelfth Century Norman wedding
ceremony one and a half years later. After seven years and two wonderful
children, he decided to take his turn serving our country in the Army and I
couldn't be prouder of him!
I’m often found writing at all hours
of the day and night in my PJs thanks to my muse who keeps me hopping. And I’m
grateful to my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Nina, for forcing me to take a break from
time to time to play fetch and go for a walk to enjoy the outdoors.I also own and operate Beyond the Book
Productions, a full service design company that creates Book Covers, Book
Videos, Promotional Items, and Photography! Along with my writing, this has
been such a joy!
