Meagan Hatfield
I am a thirty three year old wife and mother of two, who never really
grew up. I’m like the female Peter Pan, (without the island, and the
wild boys.) Being an only child, essentially raised by my grandparents,
I had A LOT of free time on my hands. So, I gobbled up every book I
could get my hands on, and watched movies constantly. Ever since I was
little, whenever I would read a book or watch a movie, I always wanted
to add new characters, change scenes–sometimes even the ending. I wrote
my first, (and only) Young Adult novel in the ninth/tenth grade, and
enjoyed everything about the process of writing. But, my main passion
had always been for dance. I actually went to college as a dance major.
It wasn’t until after I to married, had my kids, and settled in
Wisconsin that I tried my hand at writing again. Now, I can’t stop. I
write in pretty much every genre - fantasy, historical, paranormal,
contemporary and erotica.
My erotic paranormal "Claming the Lamb" came in 3rd in the Preditors &
Editors Readers Poll and was also nominated for a Golden Rose Award for
Best Novella of 2006. I also had a fantasy romance short released last
year by Highland Press. Currently, I have two erotic contemporary short
stories due out in February from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid, and “A
Magical Encounter” my medieval fantasy romance novel is set for release
next month from New Concepts Publishing. I am an active member of RWA,
the Vice President of WisRWA, Hearts Through History, FF&P, Passionate
Ink, Erotic Authors Association, EPIC, and GothRom and a self proclaimed
Myspace junkie.

I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and at the tender
age of ten I began high school. At thirteen I was adopted and moved to
Toronto Canada where I continued my education and delved deeper into my
love of reading and acting. At the age of eighteen, since reading
romance for ten years, I decided to try my hand at writing my own
story. I succeeded and years later finally had the courage to send it
off to publishers. It was accepted was written under a pseudonym. It
has gotten some wonderful reviews and has been a bestseller since it's
release April 1, 2007 (really...no fooling!). That pushed me to keep
going and I have three stories released under the same pseudonym. I
currently have one story "African Chocolate" under my real name.
I have an associates degree in Radio Broadcasting and is currently in
university for my Bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in
dramatic arts (I am thinking of taking a double major but I am a little
chicken of all the work). I am a happy participant of Nanorwrimo and I
love reading, writing/researching, singing, cultures, acting, trying to
dance, movies, music and cooking.

Liadan Brodie
I
first fell in love with books when I was a very small child and the love
affair has never ended. By the time I was 12, I was reading my mother's
classics, Dante's Inferno and The Canterbury Tales. Yes, heavy reading
for a 12 year old, but I loved them and I still do. That's when I began
writing my own stories. For a while I kept my stories to myself, some
have long since disappeared.
Being raised in Louisiana has given a little extra spice to the stories
I create. Though my first story with The Dark Castle Lords is tame by
comparison to others I've written. My next story for them will show that
'extra spice'. I've found I can write just about anything with enough
research. But I'm favoring writing a few more stories based in Louisiana
and Texas, areas I know well and still love though I no longer live
there. Not quite sure I'm ready to write about Virginia yet.
Most of my stories are romantic suspense, but a few are paranormal. I've
learned that I really have to enjoy the genre I write, if I don't it
doesn't make for a good story. I love writing heroines who are tough and
can stand up to their man, yet at the same time, need his help and
support. I have been known to use friends in my stories, which often
makes for good natured ribbing once they've spotted themselves. Of
course, I camouflage them enough that it's often hard to spot them right
away.
I was asked recently by a friend of mine, if I wrote for the money or
the fame. I answered honestly, "Neither, I write for the hot cover
models." Okay, then I told her the truth, I don't write for money or
fame, I write because I enjoy it and I know there are some people out
there who will read my work and though it won't change their lives, it
will put a smile on their face. The hot cover models are just a bonus.
